Not all 'eco' bags are created equal. Here's how to decode the labels.
True corn starch bags break down in composting conditions. Bags labelled 'oxo-degradable' just fragment into microplastics — that's not eco, that's greenwashing in a green bag.
OK Compost HOME (TÜV Austria) means it breaks down at home compost temperatures. EN 13432 is the industrial composting standard. Both are meaningful — 'biodegradable' alone is not.
The real metric is price-per-bag, not price-per-roll. A €9 box with 300 bags beats a €7 box with 120 bags on every single walk. Do the maths before you buy.
Handle bags come individually — no dispenser needed. Roll bags are usually cheaper per bag but need a dispenser. Pick based on your pockets.
